Best Tailgate; Not-So-Great Lawn Neighbors
Riverbend has the best tailgate of them all, I've seen Matt Nathanson multiple times over the years in different locations. Maybe it's my age, but it's getting harder to stand on the lawn for 2+ hours and be bumped around by the uber-drunks. The people are friendly and it is a big social outing, catching up with folks you've seen there in previous years. Matt, as always, puts on a wonderful show and lets the Coral Reefers shine. For the love of god, if I'm paying for a bottle of water, give me the bottle, don't pour it into a cup without a lid. From what I understand, the pavilion seats aren't much better - you spend more $$ and can still get a daiquiri poured down your back. Any fun-loving soul should see Matt Nathanson at least once and Cincy is still the place to be.
